We are happy to announce the recipients of Mini Operas’ writing and composing mentorships. Nico Muhly and Jeremy Sams have had a good look at the entries, and have chosen the winners with whom they will work over the coming nine months.
In the script writing round, the mentorship goes to Lori Ann Stephens, whose story The Lingerer delicately tells the story of a woman in the aftermath of the loss of her young son.
Composer Roger Assar Johansson has been chosen by Nico Muhly for his soundtrack to the story Wreckage of Dreams.
Congratulations to them both. They will each spend time with their mentor developing their work. We wish them the very best of luck.
