9 DAYS LEFT IN THE FILM COMPETITION

The Film Competition

Opened: 6 August 2012
Closes: 24 September 2012

Have you got a talent or even just an interest for visualisation? Then we want to hear from you!

The third and final phase of Mini Operas - filmmaking – has now opened. We have announced the 10 winning soundtracks from the Mini Operas composing competition - see below - and now we’re asking you to pick one of them and the libretto that inspired it and visualise it.

Like in all of Mini Operas, we’re not saying much about what you must or shouldn’t do. All we ask is that you create an original film of about 5-7 minutes in duration, expressing your chosen soundtrack in the best way you can think of. That might be live action with actors or it might be animation, or it might be, well, who knows - it’s completely up to you. Just be sure to download the soundtrack and include it in your film - we cannot accept silent films!

Our friends from the London Film School have made some example films of how you might approach the task and we’ve posted them below, but again how you proceed is all up to you.

You have until 24 September to send in your completed film, which you can do here.
